Check out Audio and Ebooks Without Leaving Your House
The Hudson Area Public Library along with several other area libraries in the area are now providing material in formats meeting the busy lifestyles of their patrons. With the
patrons can browse and download titles 24 hours per day, every day of the week, from any personal computer with an Internet connection. They can take digital titles in the car, on the bus, anywhere!
All you need to do is:
- From the HAPLD web site follow the link above the Alliance Digital Media Library.
- Click 'Log In' on the top menu bar.
- Enter your Library Card Number and your special PIN number ( the password you would normally use to sign on to your online Library account to renew and request books.)
That's it! You can download and read eBooks in PDF and other formats, download them to your digital reader or smartphone, or download the audio book version in WAV or MP3 formats and listen on your iPod or MP3 player!

Library E-books now available for Amazon Kindle!

Here is the process for checking out a library Ebook for Kindle:

Click here to browse and check out a Kindle book via our database, ADML

Click the 'Get for Kindle' button. This opens the Amazon.com website. You may be required to sign in with your Amazon.com account if you are not already logged in.

Select a Kindle device or Kindle reading app. Click the 'Get library book' button and sync your device or app to download the book or choose to send it to your device via USB.

An active Wi-Fi connection is required for wireless delivery to a Kindle device. If your Kindle is not Wi-Fi capable or you do not have an active Wi-Fi connection, read Amazon's instructions for transferring files via USB.
Whispersync technology: If you check out the eBook again at a later date or choose to purchase the eBook from the Kindle Store, all of your notes, bookmarks and highlights will be preserved. The last page read will also be synced between your Kindle and free Kindle reading apps.

Join us for the mother/daughter book club! Teens and their moms hang out, talk about books, and eat snacks! The next meeting will be Tuesday, January 31st at 7:00 pm. The book for discussion will be the hilarious, award-winning Notes from the Midnight Driver by Jordan Sonnenblick. Bring a list of books you'd like to discuss in future! Winter Story Time
Preschool Children Ages 3-5 are invited to the library to enjoy stories, finger plays, songs, art activities, and more during the eight-week session of Fall Story Time.
Tots (12-36 months) are invited to attend with a parent/guardian the last two weeks
February 16/17 and 23/24.

FAMILY DINNER & A MOVIE NIGHT
Join Hudson Area Public Library District in a night of food and fun on Friday, Feb 3 at 6:00 pm at the Hudson Town Hall.
The movie: Ramona and Beezus will be shown with Rosati's Pizza catering the pizza, salad, drink, and a cookie. Price per peson will be $4 and may be paid at the door.
